Each spray delivers 27.5 micrograms of Fluticasone Furoate. The other ingredients are Glucose Anhydrous, Dispersible Cellulose, Polysorbate 80, Benzalkonium Chloride, Disodium Edetate, Purified Water.

Fluticasone Furoate, the active ingredient in Avamys nasal spray, is a corticosteroid that has potent anti-inflammatory action. It binds to the cells in the nasal passage and over time it reduces the inflammatory symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis.

Most patients who use Avamys start to notice benefits within 8-24hrs of starting treatment, but due to the nature of inflammation, it could take between 7-14 days of continuous use to see the full anti-inflammatory effects. Whilst this steroid nasal spray may not provide immediate allergy relief, using this spray regularly stop/reduce allergic rhinitis before it even starts!.

Avamys (Fluticasone Furoate) belongs to a group of medicines called Glucocorticoids. Avamys works to decrease inflammation caused by allergy (rhinitis) and therefore reduce symptoms of allergy. Avamys nasal spray is used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis including stuffy, runny or itchy nose, sneezing and watery, itchy or red eyes, in adults and children aged 6 years and over.

Allergy symptoms can occur at specific times of the year and be caused by allergy to pollen from grass or trees (hayfever), or they can occur all year round and be caused by allergy to animals, house dust mites or moulds to name some of the most common.

The Otrivine Adult Metered Dose 0.1% Nasal Spray provides relief from the symptoms of nasal congestion due to colds, sinusitis and allergies, such as hay fever. Each application delivers a measured dose which works within minutes to clear a blocked nose and relieve excessive nasal secretions for up to 10 hours

Indications

Adults and children aged 12 years and over

How to Use

For adults and children over 12 years: one application in each nostril 2 or 3 times daily.

Hazards and Cautions

Not suitable for infants or children under 12 years

Do not use continuously for more than seven consecutive days. If symptoms persist consult your doctor.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

If you are pregnant or taking other medicines or are under a doctor’s care consult your doctor before using Otrivine.

For reasons of hygiene do not use this bottle more than 28 days after first opening it.

Ingredients

Contains Xylometazoline Hydrochloride (0.1% w/v)
